About ConTact C.A.R.E
Flinchlock Release

ConTact C.A.R.E. Flinchlock Release is a gentle, hands-on bodywork modality developed in New Zealand.

It is based on the idea that physical stress, injury, and tension can influence the way the body moves and feels over time.

Practitioners use gentle touch to identify areas of restriction and encourage the body to release patterns of tension, supporting greater ease of movement, relaxation, and overall wellbeing.

Within the ConTact C.A.R.E. approach, the area of restriction is referred to as a Flinchlock.

The theory proposes that following physical or emotional stress, the body may develop protective patterns that contribute to ongoing discomfort or restricted movement.

The aim is to encourage the body to let go of these patterns, allowing movement to become easier and more balanced.

Many clients report feeling more relaxed, moving more freely, or experiencing greater comfort following treatment. Individual experiences vary.

ConTact C.A.R.E Flinchlock Release is gentle and suitable for people of all ages. Each treatment is adapted to the individual, and pressure is applied only within your comfort level.

Some people notice mild tenderness or temporary changes in how their body feels for a day or two following a session. As with many forms of bodywork, responses vary from person to person.

It is common for the full benefit of the treatment to be felt after 2-3 days.
