About ConTact C.A.R.E Flinchlock Release
ConTact C.A.R.E. Flinchlock Release is the practice of locating and releasing trapped pressure. ConTact C.A.R.E. practitioners identify areas in the skeleton where tension, injury, or trauma has locked into the bone and fascia.
An impact or trauma can trigger trapped shock and kinetic pressure into the bone, causing it to ‘flinch’ and freeze in a contracted state. This Flinchlock creates dense tension, which distorts and hardens fascia, muscles, and ligaments around the affected area. This creates joint imbalances and musculoskeletal tension. This is what we call SKELETAL SENSORY SHOCK.
Flinchlocks have far-reaching effects, which can lead to chronic referred pain, anxiety, headaches, stress and other issues as the body has compensated to maintain its new normal.
Emotional pressures, trauma, stress, and tension can also accumulate within a Flinchlock, meaning the body has the potential to release these stored burdens and restore both physical and emotional balance.
ConTact C.A.R.E. is safe for all ages. It is gentle, pain-free, and very effective for most people.
ConTact C.A.R.E. is a Commonsense Approach to Real Ease.
For 24-48 hours after a session, you may experience some minor discomfort as your body integrates. This is a normal part of the body’s healing response. It is common for the full benefit of the treatment to be felt after 2-3 days.
The ConTact C.A.R.E Approach
-

Comfort
I will ask you to find your comfort position. We will work together to achieve this.
-

Identify
I search your skeletal system to identify areas of density and locked trauma.
-

Release
I will gently release the skeletal sensory shock from the bone.
-
I will assess your body, observing your movement and taking note of what I see. You will fill out a form, telling me what you are feeling and where.
I will consistently ask you to “get comfortable”. We will work together to find the best position for you – whether that’s sitting, lying, standing – or a mixture of all!
I will then commence working on your body, applying gentle pressure with a series of “releases”.
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing.
-
The entire premise of ConTact C.A.R.E is that it is gentle, safe and pain free.
I work to support your body to do what it already wants to do – unravel to its “normal” state.
I will ensure you are comfortable throughout the whole session.
-
Sessions are about an 1 hour.
Everyone’s body is different and my goal is to do as much as your body needs.
-
Every person is unique, and your injuries are, also. You may find you feel lighter, more energetic and have less pain immediately afterwards.
For some people, some discomfort may occur for a short time. This is actually good news, as it means your body is unravelling and changing back to “normal”.
-
Everyone is different, depending on the extent of your injuries in life.
Some people find full recovery occurs after just one or two sessions.
Others need multiple sessions as we uncover new areas of skeletal sensory shock over time.
-
